Prepare for the highly anticipated eighth edition of Art on Paper as it returns to downtown Manhattan's Pier 36 from September 8 to 11, 2022. Featuring 100 galleries showcasing top modern and contemporary paper-based art, this event has become synonymous with significant projects and unique moments that distinguish it as a key cultural destination in New York City. Art on Paper 2022 not only expands its influence within the international collecting community but also renews essential partnerships with prestigious institutions such as the Brooklyn Museum, Lower Eastside Girls Club, and other prominent city organizations.
True to its name, Art on Paper is dedicated to showcasing works-ranging from drawings and prints to photos and mixed-media-all created on or with paper. Beyond traditional mediums, the fair goes a step further by presenting inventive three-dimensional sculptures and installations made entirely from paper. This commitment to pushing the boundaries of one of art's oldest mediums sets Art on Paper apart.
This year, the participation of 100 galleries ensures a diverse and compelling showcase of artistic creations. In addition to the exhibition, Art on Paper introduces new educational and interactive initiatives. Attendees can look forward to engaging in live printmaking workshops, exploring the intricacies of linocut techniques, and even trying their hand at silkscreen printing on tote bags. Art on Paper 2022 promises not only a visual feast but also an enriching and participatory experience for art enthusiasts of all levels.
